Ski Festival Season in Malam Jabba

It is deeply rooted in the region's cultural and geographical significance. Initially developed in the 1980s by the Pakistani government in collaboration with an Austrian ski company, the resort emerged as a hub for winter sports enthusiasts. It gained recognition as the country's first and most prominent ski resort, attracting visitors keen on skiing and snow-related activities. Unfortunately, during the early 2000s, the resort faced significant damage due to terrorism and conflict in the region. However, after considerable reconstruction efforts, it was revitalized, featuring improved facilities, ski slopes, and amenities, reclaiming its position as a vital hub for winter sports in Pakistan. The history of Malam Jabba's Ski Resort reflects its resilience and the continued efforts to maintain its status as a premier destination for skiing and recreational winter activities.
